Michael T. Finch is the founder and principal of Black Watch Capital & Consulting.
He has served as the CEO or CFO for several small to medium sized private equity backed or venture capital backed companies in the Denver area. Black Watch Consulting is focused on profitability and operational management to mid-market services companies, generally with revenue ranging from $10 million to $50 million, with as many as 180 employees. A typical client is founder-operated, at a time in the lifecycle of the company when growth has outpaced the ability of the founder to efficiently manage and consecutively develop the company, and operational inefficiencies are restraining the company from reaching objectives. Michael has served as a consultant to more than 200 individual businesses.
Michael Finch also worked in public accounting with the firms Arthur Andersen and KPMG, where he served as an Audit Manager. Prior to joining Arthur Andersen, he was an investment consultant with Paine Webber, specializing in equity and derivatives trading.
He received a Master's Degree in Accounting along with an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver and is a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado. Michael is a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, a Capital Advisory Board member for iMed Exchange, the Community Chair for the Board of Directors of Boy Scouts of America, and participates actively with the Ronald McDonald House and the Bonfils Blood Center. Michael is a member of the 2010 class of the Leadership Program of the Rockies.
